Seeing a dietitian will help you improve your health. You'll learn how to eat better and manage health conditions through good nutrition. We aim to help you access our service smoothly so you can focus on your health. Appointments can be made directly without a referral. Your doctor or other health professional may also refer you to a dietitian
Medicare covers dietitian fees for individuals who are eligible under the Chronic Disease Management (CDM) program. Our fully bulk billed service is a 20-minute consultation tailored to your specific needs. You may wish to book a full hour initial consultation for a thorough assessment and intervention and receive $56 back from Medicare. Refer to our Prices Page for more details. Please make sure you bring your referral completed by your doctor at your appointment.
A referral from your doctor may be needed for Department of Veterans’ Affairs requirements. You will need to: Hold a DVA Gold card, or White card with condition specific your treatment is for an accepted service-related condition Visit your GP and obtain a valid D904 referral form. Send us an email on info@eatsmartly.com.au Applicable DVA card holders with valid GP referrals are bulk billed If unsure, check with your dietitian before attending your appointment.
You may be eligible to claim rebates for Dietetic services if you have a Private Health Insurance which includes Dietetic services as part of your extras cover. Rebate will vary depending on your cover. Please contact your insurance provider to confirm your eligibility for rebates. If you are eligible for a Private Health Insurance rebate, you will be provided with a claimable receipt which you can then use to make your claim (we don't process the private health claims in-house).
